Blinking lost

Bug or characteristic ?

AFPub has lost the blinking of the text cursor... now is only a fixed vertical bar.

Can't reproduce on MacOS Catalina.
Does it happen in all files?

I can't reproduce this on Ventura

Does it happen in other apps on your Mac, too, or just Affinity?

If you quit all of the Affinity apps and restart them does it still happen?

What about after rebooting your Mac?

My OS is Ventura, full actualized.

My Mac is a M1

And no, AFPub is the only app where it occurs

And it is only a curious effect, is no annoying and otherwise the app does what is supposed to do (some quirks, but sure in minor updates will be corrected)

I have a similar setup to you - M1 Pro with Ventura - and it took some detective work but I found the problem.

To duplicate it, I had to set Show Text Ruler to ON and draw a frame on the master. The problem doesn't occur with a frame on the actual page nor does it occur with Show Text Ruler set to Off. I never use the text ruler which is why I'd never noticed the problem before.

I've attached a screen recording to illustrate the issue.

Just to clarify, the problem also doesn't occur when the frame is viewed on the master page, it has to be a master frame viewed on a regular page with Show Text Ruler on.

For the record – as I don't have access to v2 at this very moment – this bug does not occur in v1.

I have noticed this on OS 11.7.1, it happens intermittently. I think that it happens when I have been making adjustments in one of the various Panels from a studio.
