Parmia
Hi! Just letting you know that the link you sent by email, offering 40% off, leads to a page that is listed dangerous at least by Norton.
GarryP
Welcome to the forums @Parmia This is a known issue which is not Serif’s fault. See here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/173377-affinity-website-getting-malicious-website-warning-from-norton/&do=findComment&comment=1002232 You can raise this issue with Norton via the link given in the post I linked to. Thanks Garry. I figured it must be something like that. I could raise the issue if I was absolutely sure about your site being safe but how can I know it? It's your word against Norton. It's quite stupid actually how some party can affect your business like this I love your work and your answer to those who are fed with Adobe so I'll try to find a third party and maybe end my long relationship with Norton and Adobe. GarryP
I think it’s worth pointing out that I don’t work for Serif and have no affiliation with them. I’m just a user of the software and member of the forums. For what it’s worth, and it’s only my personal opinion, if a company like Norton are taking the word of random internet users over the word of a well-established, internationally known and respected company such as Serif then they are probably doing something wrong when it comes to internet security by reporting false information. And because of that, I would, if I were a Norton user, look to get my internet security needs met elsewhere. Zen22
Browsers have built in fraudulent website detection features and both Windows and macOS come with built in antivirus software. Just remember you don't really need to spend money on security for general use cases. Parmia
Pyanepsion
Norton was once installed by default on my new computer. It never detected a virus that was turning my computer into a zombie that was broadcasting pages that were banned in most civilised countries. I reported it to them. They did nothing. I switched to another anti-virus solution that removed the infection right away. Norton once declared my main site unsafe. They didn't want to hear anything despite the large number of monthly visitors to my website, the fact that there were no downloads, and that no other tool declared my site as harmful. They told me that the warning had been checked, but they didn't say what it was! I then made a screen copy of their warning, their message, and wrote a message explaining my thinking on my Facebook page, and then gave them the link. They must have felt ridiculous in front of the 100,000 Likes, because the warning disappeared soon after. Since then, a Microsoft alumnus among my contacts has explained to me that Microsoft's antivirus has become the most powerful and fastest, because it is built right into the system. I haven't had to worry about viruses for years.
