My Affinity Designer, Photo, Publisher stopped working

Recommended Posts

Love these programs; Just completed this week a project, and I was working in photo yesterday. The program will not load today. But neither will Designer. I haven't tried Publisher, but I expect the same thing. I can't load my original Affinity programs either.  Please help me understand what to do. I don't have files to attach; the only thing would show would be nothing.

Difficult to get a clue without further infos🤔

Maybe here is some hint:

Does any App splash screen appear when trying to start or don't you see anything at all.

Can you try to open the windows event log and check if any errors or warnings are loged in one of the lists after you tried to start one of the apps:

And: what is your Windows version and hardware configuration?

Hardware: Windows 10 Pro for Workstations (22H2, build 19045.3208, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19053.1000.0), 8 core Intel(R) Xeon(R) W-2145 CPU @ 3.70GHz, 64 GB RAM, NVIDIA Quadro P4000 (driver 528.89), 2 x 1GB SSD. 1 Display set to native 2560 x 1440.
Software: Affinity v1 - Designer/Publisher/Photo (1.10.6.1665), Affinity v2 (universal license) - Designer/Publisher/Photo, v2 betas.

Are you getting any crash reports, Margaret?

You can press the Windows key and R, and paste this into the Run box: %USERPROFILE%\.affinity\Designer\2.0\crashreports\reports

For v1 opening to a blank screen, that kind of sounds like a problem with NVIDIA Surround. See this FAQ:

Thank you for your response. I will take the computer to my service person. Now I can't get on to the Affinity sign in. I could only get here because I saved the email. Seems like a bigger problem than this software thank you.
