Lost access to file after saving before

Recommended Posts

After saving work in between the workflow with Affinity and save after done with the edits caused a loss of access to the file.

See attached file. Actually I had the same problem with the v1.

Work around is to rename the file every time when you want to save in between.

My working environment is the latest MAC OS.

Are you saving to an external drive, if so what format is it?

If you search the forum using the word Ventura  you will see a report and a confirmation that this is a problem unique to that Mac OS.  You may want to read that and see if it is the same as the problem you are experiencing.

Since you say you are using the latest Mac OS that may be the problem you are experiencing.

Hope this helps.

Update: See you were typing at the same time I was. Glad you found the workaround

Peace

I am saving it on an external drive and use de exfat format.

If you only use the drive on a Mac and do not use on WIndows use a native macOS format like APFS.

If you do use with Windows, format the drive on your Mac to exFAT, do not format to exFAT on Windows as they don’t do it correctly.
