Expanding stroke occasionally dropping inner strokes

Recommended Posts

When expanding the stroke of a curve (text converted to curve), the inner strokes are sometimes dropped. When selecting a different alignment option, the stroke will be expanded properly at times but could not find any pattern to get it to operate as expected. Also, changing stroke size sometimes fixes the issue.

Note in screen cast, could not get menu to be visible but option to expand stroke was selected.

This is a pain. The problem is caused by a stroke on the outside of the curve(s).

In essence you have to have a centred curve (of twice the width) for this to work, after expanding you move the red curves layer to the back and subtract the black (a copy if needed) letters from it.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

The issue "Expand Stroke fails on curve with Stroke set to Align Inside" (REF: AF-3095) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.5.0.2463".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us.
