walt.farrell
You should be able to. Where are the files stored, and what error message do you get? pete hoag
Hi Walt, No error, just blank pages. The only way I could get the file back up is by opening a PDF. Good thing I exported the file to PDF.
walt.farrell
And where are the files stored? Can you share one of them with us? pete hoag
The some files are stored on a local hard drive and most are stored on my Synology NAS as my shop. This file was downloaded from my NAS. It opens in V2, however there is no master page and this obviously affect the whole document. pete hoag
Greetings 4dimage- with all due respect, please open the same file in V1- V2 DID NOT OPEN CORRECTLY. There is no master page on v2 which effect the entire document.
4dimage
You are right in v1. In v2 the embeded .afphoto Letterhead in the master page has somehow been striped away. It's still there and can be accessed via Edit Document in the context toolbar but it is 0px by 0px in size and can't be resized easily so does not display But you can copy all Layers from the Embedded document and paste directly to the Master page, so any document received in this state would appear to be recoverable But it's still a bug and one for the Devs 4dimage 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. pete hoag
Greetings All, I am still having a problem with opening files in V2 from V1- Master pages are gone. Thanks.
Staff Dan C Posted December 8, 2022 Staff Share Posted December 8, 2022 Hi @pete hoag, Thanks for your report and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here. I can confirm this issue is known and logged with our developers, which should hopefully be fixed in the next update - in the meantime if you open this file in V2, then delete this '0 size' embedded PDF from Resource Manager and re-place the file on your Master Page, it should hopefully look as expected. Apologies for any inconveniences caused due to this! Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
