Designer 2 crashing when saving version 1 files

Recommended Posts

I have some files originally created in Designer 1 (Mac). When I open in Designer 2, I can make changes but I am unable to save. The app stalls,  freezes and doesn't save, requiring a Force Quit. I have tried duplicating files but as soon as I make a change, a save is not possible.

This has happened with two legacy files so far. Other legacy files are behaving properly.

I can open the affected files in Designer 1 and make changes and save no problem . I don't want to have to work with both apps, especially as 2 is a big improvement.

Any suggestions?

Screengrab of stalled save attached.

Thanks

Mike

Hi @mikejard,

Thanks for your report and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here.

Can you please confirm for me, do these files still display this same issue in the latest update for Affinity V2 (2.0.4)?

Many thanks in advance!
