j3rry
What happens if I create a document with 72dpi and then add layers with 300dpi? So nothing is visible but I would like to know if side effects can occur. This refers to Affinity Photo where I can create a document under "New" and this usually has 72dpi. When I add photos for a collage they are usually 300dpi. Pšenda
If images are added as an Image layer (Place image), their resolution and DPI (even if DPI has no meaning for raster/bitmap images) will be preserved - they will only be recalculated for display at the given position, resolution and DPI of the document. If you then perform rasterization, they will be recalculated destructively, and you will lose the original information about the resolution and DPI.
