Hello,

I am consistently struggling to use the channels panel.  When I watch the tutorial I see James right clicking the channels and receiving a host of option.  However I am completely unable to right click any of the channels or the pixel selection option.  I've had this issue with both version 1 and version 2.

Any ideas why this isn't working for me?

Thanks!

What OS do you use?

Are you using a mouse (what kind), or a stylus (what kind)?

Can you provide a screenshot or video to illustrate where you're clicking?

Hi @CharlesG,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Try the following: ⌃(ctrl) + click between the thumbnail and the channel name in the Channels panel if you have the secondary-click disabled in the Mouse settings and are using CTRL to invoke a right click/contextual menu.
If you set the Secondary click to Click Right Side in the Settings app, Mouse section (assuming you are running macOS Ventura) it should help you out invoking the contextual menu just by right-clicking over the channel as you'd expect until this issue is fixed.
This i already logged with dev.

I remember there was a bug in v1 on MacOS with activating context menus via Ctrl-click in Channels and elsewhere.
On my MacBook, I'm thus only using two-finger-tap in Affinity.

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
