Designer 2: Sizing or some kind of Alignment issue, not sure what's going on

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I'm new to designing and Affinity, and really enjoying Designer so far. However, I'm running into something that's driving me crazy and I'm not sure how to explain it but I'll do my best.

In photo #1, ok so I have two designs in a 3x4 ratio. Both designs/object are the exact same size.

Now I'm trying to resize them both to a different ratio (4x5), so I adjust the size and alignment for design#2, then I copy and paste design#3 from the 3x4 artboard into the new 4x5 (or 8x10") artboard, then copy & paste the H/W size from design#2. Now both designs are the exact same size and they should align, but as you can see in photo#2, they do not.

I did made sure both Artboards are align as well. It appears the the word 'cute' on design#3 is a bit smaller than it should be, but I'm not sure why since both original designs are the same size, so when I changed their size (aspect ratio is locked) they should still align correctly..And yes, I did made sure the Y-axis are the same on both designs.

Sorry for the bad explanation, I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. I also tried messing around with snapping with various options but no luck.
