Hi,

Warp layers in Designer is great, but why didn't you add it to Photo ?

Same thing for measure tool...

These two features are the ones I miss most since I left Photoshop.

I hope you will add them

Thanks :)

Technically, features like Warp Groups are already in Photo, otherwise you wouldn't be able to open an *.afdesign document in Photo without losing those effects. But it's a vector effect, and thus not what Photo is primarily meant to be used for. Photo has many pixel warping features instead.

So if you need to add a warp group to vector objects in an *.afphoto document, simply select File > Edit In Designer and there you go. When finished, go back via File > Edit in Photo. This app interoperability is literally a matter of a few seconds, and it is applicable even on the fly with yet unsaved documents.

If you don't have Designer yet, think of it as a Photo plugin to add those extra features that you need, but most average Photo users probably don't. That's the concept which makes the Affinity suite or just parts of it so affordable.

Not really steamless and work only for text. If you modify the text in Photo and the text is not the same size, warp is not ajusted.

Measure tool is really useful for some works and need to be resolution dependent.

You may want to upload an example document to illustrate what you're trying to accomplish.

Measure tool is now available as an option in Affinity Photo (and Publisher) in the 2.1 beta available from today. It would be great if you wanted to try it out in the beta and let us know what you think - you can sign up to the beta program here.
