chessboard
In V2 you can switch between tools by pressing the same tool shortcut again. For example, if you press P to activate the pen tool and press P a second time you switch to the move tool or the node tool (depends on what was used before). The other way around you can switch between tools by pressing V or A. This might be a good workflow for some people, but I drives me crazy when using the app "blind", i.e. without checking the tool palette every time I select a tool by shortcut. Sometimes I press the shortcut for a tool a second time, just to be sure to use this tool now and instead of the tool for this shortcut I get the move tool or the node tool. I would prefer to turn off this "feature", because instead of making my workflow faster it slows me down. I would like to have just one shortcut for one tool. firstdefence
Look at the shortcuts pane in Affinity's Preferences. In the examples below I prefer the Pen tool and Node tool to be like it is in Affinity Designer P = Pen tool A = Node Tool but for some reason, in Affinity Photo it's set to P = Pen tool P = Node Tool basically a flip switch, so I just go into the shortcuts prefs pane and change it. Affinity Photo is set to this for the pen tool and the node tool This is how I set it up so that it matches Affinity Designer...
