Publisher: all photos added from photos on iPad are assigned same name”photo.heic” links are lost each time document is opened

Recommended Posts

When multiple photos are placed using “Place from Photos” into document they all receive the same name “photo.heic” and the links to them are lost each time the document is opened. If I try to embed an image so it will be there next time I open the document it will be replaced by the image that was first placed in the document as will any other image selected in resource manager to be embedded. This defeats both the purpose of linking images and actually the purpose of the software as “publisher”. This is a serious issue. Is there some way to use images from photos without first downloading them to the ipad first?

Hi S.Bullman, I see you posted some time ago with no response yet. Are you still having this issue in latest update? I know with Dropbox it’s necessary to link the app but iCloud should link automatically.
