Publisher 2.0 crashing...

Recommended Posts

I think the general consensus is that it's less stable. I had it crash several times while trying to resize a multi-column textbox over a graphic that had text wrap applied.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'll keep using it, but I really would like it to be a bit more stable.

FWIW, I have not experienced as many crashes in V2 as in V1, but I am running macOS Catalina & that may have something to do with the difference.

I would really like to love Publisher. I find it more intuitive to use than InDesign and I like being out of the Adobe ecosystem, but the stability of V2 is extremely poor. I have come to accept and expect crashes when moving groups of linked images, but to have it crashing when just scrolling now is ridiculous. PLEASE fix the stability issues.

Hi all,

Thanks for your reports here and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here.

We have since released version 2.0.4, which contains many improvements and bug fixes so please ensure you are using this latest version - as from our internal statistics this is demonstrable more stable than previous versions.

I'd also recommend keeping an eye on our forums for future beta versions available, as these should hopefully continue to improve stability within the apps, alongside further bug fixes and improvements.

If you are still experiencing issues within the latest update, please create a new post in the below section of the Forums -

Many thanks :)
