Hey everybody,

for any reason I get now this error message and I can‘t open my file anymore. I worked on it like several minutes before it happened. Couldn’t save before external.
Any possibility to save it or restore it?

App and iPad got already rebooted.

Regards

//Ryan

This is the number one reason for Saving your work as soon as you create the file. At the moment this means saving with hamburger menu every time you return to the Homescreen Live Doc view.

The bad news. Unsaved files only exist in the apps protected memory area (sandbox) and are easily corrupted. In sandbox they are virtually impossible to recover. In the event that you have previously saved your file then all you need do is use Open file and navigate to the folder location used to save the file, select and open. This will create a new icon in Live Doc view.

There are programs available for Mac/Windows that can access protected areas of iOS devices. That is the only way now to gain access to the corrupted file. You may then need to send that file to Affinity to see if they could salvage it.
