no icons of the Affinity publisher to run it

Hi, recently I bought Affinity Publisher 2 and I installed to my Mac. My problem is that after installation there are no icons of the software to run the publisher. If I create one for my desktop, it doesn't do anything. To run the software I have to open my folder Downloads, click on the downloaded file from Affinity and wait for my computer to reinstall the software. Then I can open it. If I restart my computer I can't find the publisher anywhere. I have repeat installation again.

In Finder, open the root level Applications folder & set it to list sorted by name. Do you not see "Affinity Publisher" somewhere near the top of the list?

Also, what is the extension of the file in your Downloads folder?

Hi again, I did what you said but I don't see "Affinity Publisher" anywhere. As for the extension of the file in my Downloads folder that is : dmg.

Double click on the dmg file (dmg means Disk Image), that should expand into a "disk" with the application and an alias to your Applications folder, drag the application onto the alias.
