- S - Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 If special characters (such as those below for example) are used in the "States" Panel "Layer name is…" search box and "Regular Expressions" is enabled, it will cause Affinity Photo to crash. * ? ( Although it won't crash if the special characters are escaped with a backslash, it probably shouldn't crash the application if the user enters special characters directly into the search field. I am a fan of using only Alphanumerics plus the Underscore and Space for names of things and files. I learned this from my old school friend Little Bobby Tables. https://xkcd.com/327/ Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. RogerFx Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Hi I tried and learn about this state panel using the layer name and the regular expression yesterday and this was my experience: I wrote on the layer name field: Planet+? which would select all layers with names like Planet 1, Planet 2.... It is working for me. No crash. However, if I write Planet+* it will cause afphoto to crash. Quote
