Affinity Designer V2 crashes and won't open upon attempting to export

Recommended Posts

Upon attempting to export a project as a default PNG through the export persona in Affinity Designer V2, the program will just close sometimes showing the progress bar, sometimes not without exporting the image, nor with any crash report.

And when I go to reopen the desktop application, it does not open, and I get a popup with this:

"You’ll need to go to advanced options for Affinity Designer 2 and select Repair. If you’re still having issues with it, reinstall this app or contact your administrator."

I've managed to reopen it by either reinstalling it or resetting the app, but this issue is consistent regardless of the actual project.

Any suggestions on how to stop this from happening or even why this happens?

Thanks.

Hi Thetax and welcome to the forum. Are you still experiencing this issue with v2.0.3?

Are you using Mac or Windows?

Is the problem repeatable with the same file or is it intermittent?

Are you able to share a test file?

Cheers

It doesn't matter as it now works for some reason, and I forgot to take this down. But thanks for attempting to help.

Although, if your curious, I am using windows and the error was intermittent. As it no longer occurs, I cannot share a test file.
