Editing warp groups doesn't work at all in wireframe view mode?

Recommended Posts

I made a test of warp groups on a medium complex group with lots of elements with FX. The pleasing snappy performance of Affinity is  totally gone here, I have an M1 equipped Mac, but the adjusted perspective is rendered like in the old computer days. That being said it was perhaps not a completely fair test, but a bit surprising though. I just sat there looking at chunks of rendered objects appearing second after second. I hope you expect to optimize this in the future.

My thought was therefore that I should go into wireframe view mode to adjust the perspective there, so I wouldn't have to sit and wait for the render, trial by trial for the right perspective.

It doesn't work at all. I see no result from my changes.

So I try to open more simple files. But I see nothing but a perspective frame in wireframe mode when I want to edit a warp group.

Is that the case? Then I am are bound to edit the perspective in normal mode with slow performance. I use wireframe mode often when I am dealing with complex drawing - I do that most of the time.

 1) You have completely wrecked the layers panel, Serif.

2) I recommend Reddit groups instead of this forum. Not the same few bot-like users replying to everything, a wider representation of users, fewer fanboys, more qualified users. In short, better!

3) I was here to report bugs and submit improvement requests for professional work professionally in a large setup and to bring a lot of knowledge from the world, i.e. professional product development, web- and software development, usability, user experience design and accessibility. I actually know what I am talking about!

BUT! We are phasing out Designer and Affinity in 2022 Q1 - and replacing it with feature complete and algorithmically competent alternatives.
Publisher is unsuitable for serious use, and was never adopted.

Hi François, I believe this issue has been logged already. I agree, it would be nice if it worked in wireframe mode.

Great, thanks. More than nice - if a percentage of content is warp groups in a document that percentage will be invisible in wireframe mode. I would be a shame to convert content to curves prematurely just to make it visible in wireframe mode.

Also... that the original content is visible will make the wireframe mode look totally weird.
