Maybe export as eps it's ok, but Ai is better. Because i'm a Motion Designer base in Indonesia, it's kinda hard to pay for adobe all apps, so i only bought after effects without the illustrator and change it with Affinity Designer. It works but the workflow it's too complicated. It may gonna make some Motion Designer's change their illustrator to Aff Designer for saving their money, if Affinity can export as Ai with some of the layers that still layered, grouped, named properly as we already organized it in Affinity Designer. Print Monkey
Greetings! There might be some partial workarounds for creating AI files depending on which features are needed. There's some info at the end of this blog post: https://logosbynick.com/open-save-ai-files-inkscape/ (not my blog) Quote pRiNt! mOnKeY! 🖨️🙊💻Lenovo Legion 5 Pro*, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700H, 2300 Mhz, 14 Core, 32GB DDR5-4800, nVidia RTX 3070 Ti 8GB, Windoze 11 💻*Sometimes gets used for something other than games. ashf
If you are on iPad, bring the artwork to Vectornator with a PDF or SVG, then export it to the Adobe CC Cloud as an AI using its CC Cloud integration. Though the artwork might be changed more or less depending on how you designed. LOB
ashf
Another solution by using an Inkscape extension.https://github.com/tzunghaor/inkscape-eps-export

I suppose workarounds are needed to be able to create some kind of AI-level interchange of editable data between Designer and Illustrator which would support e.g. layers. Plain EPS does not support that (while "Illustrator EPS", which the Inkscape script writes, does). SVG does, as well, but SVG is always RGB only. bararasya
I mean organized files are really important. every time I open an eps file from freepik or whatever it is, the file so messy not even see groups or layers in there.
