I like saving my work in iCloud so I can access my work on all my devices. I have ticked iCloud as the default save option…

When wanting to save however I cannot find a default Publisher2 folder in Finder on my iPad. On my Mac there is such a folder with the correct icon colour etc but, it seems not to have synced across to iOs.

Very confusing. I’m immediately somewhat disappointed that the program cant handle such a basic thing as providing the expected file management behaviour.

I wonder if that is why, while trying to use icloud, i keep getting errors with the words…

“Linked resource permission denied

Permission to access the following linked file has been denied”

and then

“Please grant permission to the access the linked resource.”

Authorise folder

Ignore

Ignore All

But i cannot figure out how to “authtorize”

A folder should be created by first save. Latest update has new save option

Thanks for the reply.

There is no change with this  after the update. When I hit save on my iPad it gives me a browse interface, when I browse to iCloud drive there is no Affinity Publisher folder there.

There is an Affinity Publisher folder within my Mac’s iCloud folder. Why the hell is that not syncing across to iCloud iOs so I can use it on my iPad?

I should be able to create a book on the iPad save it to the dedicated icloud folder and work on  the same book on my Mac, same file, same folder This is how it works in other applications….

Strange, if you can see that folder in iCloud on your Mac and you can’t see that folder in the files app on your iPad that suggests an iPadOS sync problem and nothing to do with Affinity surely? Or can you only not see that folder in Affinity? I can see them on my iPad.

Hi there!

So what's going on with this one?

I have the same problem and have tested this on three different Macs with the same problem. I reinstalled all affinity apps, photo designer and publisher on all computers and I get the exact same problem with ONLY publisher. I have used iCloud for years but never encountered a similar problem. I drives me nuts.

Same on intel, same on apple silicon. I'm on latest Ventura 13.2.1

1. I install the app from the app store.

2. I activate it.

3. I enable iCloud sync in settings.

4. I save a random document to create the App Library folder.

5. It looks like the folder gets synced to iCloud. Yet, if I check on iCloud.com it's not there, and it does not sync to any other Mac.

6. What is really weird is that IT DOES show up and sync on my iPad and iPhone in iCloud in the files app. So it is in iCloud somewhere it, just doesn't work like any other App Library folder? (Photo and designer works fine.)

7. If I test save another file to iCloud on another Mac it will create another App Library folder. So if I check on my iPad there are two!

This must be a specific bug with publisher in combination with iCloud. Any thoughts or solutions to this?

I know I could just make a normal folder and store my files there, but I like it iCloud neat and tidy or whatever, and don't want unexpected sync errors.

I would recommend posting as a new bug report rather than attaching to an old report. It’s more likely to be noticed by mods that way.🙂
