Resize on File Export

Recommended Posts

I have been using Affinity Photo for some time and regard myself as reasonably competent. However, I found today I could not do what I have regularly done in the past- and that is resize an image in File Export for conversion to say a lower pixel JPEG for export.

If I have a multilayered afphoto image, I flatten it before going to File>Export>JPEG. Then, with the dimensions locked to preserve format, I highlight one of the two pixel values and change it to the chosen new value. Today I cannot do that because every time I try to change the output pixel dimension it ignores the input and values remain the same. If I delete the pixel value, the original number appears as soon as I enter any digit. All this happens with AF V1 and V2 and even when inputting a simple JPEG for resizing.

I must have a mental blockage. What on earth am I suddenly doing wrong?

Hard to tell… :)
Is it just this document or generally all new documents you're creating?
You may want to upload the offending document for inspection, provided it doesn't contain any sensitive data.

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

Thanks loukash. I was just in the process of replying when I tried once again to replicate the problem. Then it occurred to me - is the keyboard's number lock key illuminated (i.e. on)? Answer, NO! Therefore numerical inputs were not being registered. Stupid of me not to have thought of that. It must have happened accidentally. All works now, so problem solved.
