Hi, I've had V1 Products installed from the get go and today installed V2 Suite. However not wishing to consume more drive space than unneccesary I now want to uninstall V1 programs. They all appear in both the Windows and third party unistaller's program list - so far, so good. Additionally V2 programs do not. Initially I thought a restart would bring them up but it doesn't which leads me to consider "Do I uninstall V1 or not in case it will compromise V2 installation?". If V2 icons do not appear in Windows uninstaller, etc., how do you uninstall should it be necessary?

You can uninstall V1 without it affecting anything in V2. Just make sure you have migrated/copied everything you want from V1 to V2 before you delete V1.

Issues uninstalling Affinity V2

Affinity V2 apps can be uninstalled using the following methods:

Uninstall from the Start Menu

  1. Select Start> All apps and search for the Affinity app you wish to uninstall.
  2. Press and hold (or right-click) on the app and select Uninstall.

Unistall in Settings

  1. Select Start> Settings> Apps> Apps & features.
  2. Find the Affinity app you wish to remove and select More> Uninstall.

Also this is what I see when I search in the start menu. Uninstall is there too

I think the version 2 MSIX package installs in a different way from version 1 and doesn't show up in the Control Panel

Version 1 did not use MSIX. It used only MSI/EXE.

Windows does not support MSIX programs in the Control Panel. You need to use more modern Windows functions, such as Settings not Control Panel.
