moving the endnote page

Recommended Posts

Hey!

can I move the endnote page, which was created at the end of the whole document to the end of the chapter? Can I get some problems with endnotes then, or can I just drag and drop this page wherever I want to?

#edit: as it seems, it makes no problems. Just moved the endnotes page and made a new endnote. It appears on the same (moved) page as others.

Thanks!

For Endnotes, these are your Positioning options in the Notes panel as explained in the Help:

Quote

For endnotes:

  • End of Story—after the story text in the last linked text frame.
  • Separate Frame—in an unlinked text frame on the page after the story's last linked text frame.
  • Shared Section Frame—in an unlinked text frame on the section's last page.
  • Shared Document Frame—in an unlinked text frame on the document's last page.
  • End of Book—bodies are displayed and edited in an unlinked text frame in a non-printing #Booknotes section at the end of the document. All of a book's endnote bodies with this setting can be consolidated in a printing text frame of your choice by selecting Endnotes>Insert Endnotes from the Books panel's preferences menu.

So, in part, it will depend on how you have structured your document, Whether, for example,

  • you have chapters in individual .afpub files and the whole consolidated into a .afbook file, or
  • you have each chapter in its own individual set of linked text frames (a "story"). or
  • whether you use Sections.
