aleale1
1. Create any CMYK document. 2. Create any black text on a colored background. 3. Create a swatch from this black color. 4. In swatch properties of just created color, choose “Overprint”. 5. Switch off black channel in Channels pallet of a Photo Persona to see, that there is no overprinting. 6. Export the file as tiff or PDF, and you’ll see that there is no overprinting as well.

Made my own test with a PDF and black overprints in both versions, Black Overprint in the export dialogue on or off. But true, that in the Photo Persona the overprint is not shown. Staff Gabe Posted November 18, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 18, 2022 We cannot see separation channels in app, what you see at step 5 is correct. However, overprint should work on PDF export. Did you enable overprint in the PDF settings?

Jan Peeters
I notice the same problem. Black overprint doesn't work. In my case when placing black text 100% K on a TIFF of an art work.
spidermurph
Is there any update on this. It seems to still be an issue.
Staff Gabe Posted July 3, 2023 Staff Share Posted July 3, 2023 Sorry. It looks like this has been missed. In that PDF attached earlier, black does overprint. You can check it using the object inspector. If you have another sample file, we can have a look.
