Affinity photo fails to rotate the image when using the Logitech MX Master3/S

Hello,

I got the universal license, and I have installed Affinity Photo 2, Designer 2 and Publisher 2 on my Mac Studio Ultra running Ventura 13.0.1

I have a Logitech mouse Mx Master 3S firmware version 22.0.3

In the preferences I set the option "Enable canvas rotation with <cmd>+scroll wheel.

Then when I keep pressed <cmd> and I move up/down the mouse wheel, the canvas does not rotate, but it moves up and down.

I connect a second mouse to my Mac, so I have 2 mouses connected, I initiate the rotation with the second mouse and the rotation works, and also it works with Logitech one.

I disconnect the second mouse from my mouse, and the rotation continue to work with the Logitech.

Finally I quit affinity photos, and I start back and the rotation does not work anymore.

Thank you for your attention.

I have a Logitech MX Anywhere 3 so a fairly similar mouse. I couldn't tell you what firmware it is, I just synced it to bluetooth and used it.

With Enable Canvas Rotation with Cmd+scrollwheel selected, it works perfectly for me - the canvas rotates smoothly.

I do not use the Logitech software, I'm just using with macOS directly. Do you have the Logitech software installed? If you do, perhaps there's a setting in it that is conflicting?

@MikeTo thank you for your help.

Indeed I have the Logi Options+  application installed, but I don't have any particular setting on this mouse, anyway I tried to change few options with no effect w.r.t this issue.

I use the Logi Options+ application more to configure my MX Mini Keyboard, so I cannot remove it from my setup.

Anyway, when I connect the second Logitech M235 mouse, both are working.

This is my workaround for now, to keep connected a second mouse, that I don't use as pointer when I Launch Affinity Photo , it is just connected to my Mac, I do just a first rotation operation with this mouse. Then, using this trick the Mx Master 3S does the rotations as expected.

You right it can be something related to the Logi Options+, but all my other applications are not affected, for example if I set Photoshop to zoom using the Mouse wheel, it works.

Another possibility it that  Mx Master 3S has two wheels....

FYI

I have installed Affinity Photo 2.0.0  on my W11 laptop, and connecting the same Logitech mouse Mx Master 3S.

The Logi Options+ application is also installed on my W11 laptop, and managing the mouse. (Same configuration as the MacOs one)

In the preferences I set the option "Enable canvas rotation with <alt>+scroll wheel", and it works.

So the issue is affecting only MacOs.
