Can not activate Affinity apps on ipad

Recommended Posts

Where did you purchase the Universal license (Affinity Store, or within an app?), and if you purchased it within an app, which app and which machine?

When you try to activate on your iPad, what happens? (exact messages, or screenshots, please)

Thanks for your reply.

I bought universal license in Affinity store.

Then, I received a link to download the apps.  I downloaded 3 apps for desktop and installed them on my iMac (macos Monterey) without any problem.

Then, I installed 3 apps for iPad (iPados 16, Ventura) by scanning the code on my iMac's screen.  After finishing installing them, I activated them, entered my email and password, but after I pressed the 'activate' button the application did not open even though I waited for more than 10 minutes.

and, I still had the Affinity V1 app on my iMac and iPad when I installed the V2 app.

That is expected, and correct.

Thanks. I'm not sure what to suggest. Perhaps one of the Serif staff will come up with something. I would have expected it to work, fail immediately , or fail after a few minutes. Not just sit there.

  • 2 weeks later...

Today I did download all iPad apps. With the package registration all went well on the MacBook. Windows also no problem. Only on the iPad. I get the message:

Error: You must sign in with the same account that has activated the application licence!

Deleting and again downloading the apps from the store don't change something. I did first download the apps on the 10th of November. The trail did not show problems. Til registration at Serig.

Make sure you are using the email and password for the Affinity Store, not the Affinity Forum. The iPad password manager may pick the wrong one if you let it fill them in. I've had that happen.

I want to give you the latest news of the problem I'm experiencing. After I received assistance from the Affinity support team via email, I was finally able to activate Affinity Universal V2 on my iMac and iPad. The method suggested by the Affinity team is to change my password using only numbers and letters, without any special characters (my old password used special characters).

Thanks to the Affinity team, and everyone who helped me to solve my problem.
