Affinity V2 was offered on 10/11/2022 for € 169.99 minus 40% discount = EUR 99.99. Now - a few days later - the website says 199,99 €./. 40 percent discount €119.99. I am very disappointed about the price increase. Affinity needs to know in advance at what price they want to offer the programs. I bought the complete package V1 only in spring. Now I have to pay 119 euros again.

I can confirm that the prices have not changed at all since releasing V2 - the Affinity Store website will show the same prices today as on 10/11 (last Thursday).

I suspect you may be using a VPN or similar (or perhaps the website was set to the incorrect locale) and the price you saw was in Dollars, as the USD price is $99.99

I hope this clears things up.

I don't use a VPN. 99.99 US dollars are 95.93 euros. However, they demand 119.99 euros. The base price was increased from $169 to $199. I am deeply disappointed. I bought the complete offer in 05.2022. I am very disappointed.

I can 100% confirm that the base price for the universal license has not changed, for any currency, since we launched Affinity V2 last week - though I'm certainly sorry to hear you feel this way.

would have paid $99 but not €119. Thanks for the answer. unfortunately then V2 is not for me. I cannot buy the programs again every 5 months. especially since I'm just a layman

I believe this is the first update that required purchasing a new license since 2014, so it might feel like a lot of change for you, but they haven't been doing constant updates.  I was slow with the version 1 apps and spent more by spacing it out.  If you'll use them, I'd get them.  Affinity doesn't do discounts as often as I would like.

only bought Affinity in May 2022. I understand Affinity. But unfortunately Affinity doesn't understand me. my purchased full versions are garbage now. one can get angry. Or not? I don't want them as gifts, but 119 euros are too much.

That's understandable, but your versions should work for a long time. I didn't see anything from Serif about making your old version not work anymore.  I don't think they could even do that.  I previously used Adobe and I still use my 2010 Photoshop sometimes.  Just get the new ones sometime in the future.  You aren't missing anything aside from some new features, but honestly, V1 is fantastic so do not feel left behind.

That is correct, however the US price does not include any sales tax, whereas the Euro price includes VAT which makes up the difference that you are seeing.
