crabtrem
As I look through all the outstanding work on the share your work section, I feel more like an amateur than ever. But that is okay, because I am one. This is my work so far. It is not anywhere in the class of so many outstanding works of art. I am still relying heavily on photo reference. I try to concentrate on a new style or technique with each project. I am not sure why I am even sharing my work, except maybe to give more noobs like me the emphasis that it is okay to go ahead and share your work with this community. I am hoping more of you that share your work, will also make tutorials too. Half the battle for me is I know where I want to get, but organizing the path to get there is the real battle. Clever uses of blend modes, opacity, the clever uses of vector brushes or various fills for shading and reflections, all top my list of goals I wish to achieve. I am no professional, and have no real training. Just learning as I go. I learn a lot every time I participate in these forums. So I decided to share some screen shots too. And thanks to the Affinity team for finally providing the tools I actually feel comfortable and inspired with. Staff MattP Posted January 21, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 21, 2016 Nice post, crabtrem :) More than 'it's okay to share your work', I'd say it should be positively encouraged! :D MendipBlue, peter and crabtrem

eejits
I would say your stuff is far from Noob-ish. It's great looking. Everyone is an amateur at some point and everyone is still learning every single day. Keep cracking on and I look forward to seeing more of your noonish stuff! David
It a learning process we all go through and the more you do the more techniques you pick up. The eureka moment is when you settle/find a style you love...as for me, I just pretend to know what I'm doing and so far Ive got away with it :) Quote DART | Twitter | Dribbble
