layer panel: visibility of objects

Dear all, 

using AD2 on macos catalina the layer panel no longer shows the visibility indicators which are crucial to work with this program at all.
This behaviour occurs when an already configured studio is saved and the app is opened loading the saved studio.

Resseting the studio and loading the preset may show the indicators again but AD2 is not usable with this behaviour and it is just not acceptable if this forum is non-responsive to the issue.

I won't complain further but expect the bugs to be cared about: asap.

Dear Affinity-Team,

'Toggle Visibility' is sometimes not visible (see screenshot).
When I resize the side panel / window it shows up again.

Hey Void,

Can you provide a screenshot that includes the entire Layers Panel? I want to see if anything else is clipped.

So far I have only seen this issue on iPad with Publisher - do you have all the apps installed? If so, are you accessing Photo from Publisher at all?

why is this issue not solved yet?!

despite the upfollowing two updates the bug still (Affinity Designer 2.0.4) exists.
how can it be, that something that worked flawlessly before now becomes such a headache?!

Hi @h.ozboluk Yes I'm still following this and there has been a fix. We're just waiting for it to be pulled.

The issue "Layer Panel: Visibility/Lock icons are obscured when a group is present" (REF: AFP-6026) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1732".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.

@Serif Info Bot Yes this is still an issue in todays build 2.1.0.1732.

After loading the "release settings" into the beta.

Hi @woefi unfortunately there seems to be 2 recipes to get this issue.

• The one we fixed is when you have groups in the Layers Panel
• The other recipe is when you make the panel width wider. This one does not have a fix version on it yet

@Chris B Yes, this is another issue.

I never had any problems with groups.

For me this just started with the new option to move my studio presets from release to beta. (I use detached panels on a separate monitor)

It's OK in 2.0.4.

very well with the new version 2.1 it seems the bug is gone for good, anyhow I will keep an open eye if it occurs again for any reason
