May be there is a mistake.

I set some photographies 2000x3000 dpi with 72 dpi resolution. Then I changed them to 300 dpi (as Finder shows now). But the ressource table shows them in 72 dpi as before. Pub was quitted, new start, no change.

Would you be able to supply a series of full-screen screenshots, or more-preferably a video, showing us what’s happening?
If you have an example document which you can share, and give us a step-by-step workflow to follow, then that would be even better.

Hi, 1. + 2.: the jpg is 300x300 dpi

3. it is changed to 72x72 and shell be updated

4. it is updated to 72x72, but shown is as before 300x300

Thanks for the screenshots.
I think the Resource Manager list is showing you the DPI of the image as is looks in the document (called the “placed DPI”), not the DPI which is set in the file (the “Original DPI”, as can be seen in the box to the right of the list).

I don’t know why the Original DPI (in the Resource Manager) doesn’t show the 72DPI of the file after that has been changed.
Dis you refresh the image in the Publisher document after changing the DPI of the image in the file?
