NotMyFault Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Surprised to spot that preferences for designer shows Assistant options targeting applying filters to layers (destructively). Are filters finally coming to Designer? (yeah!) or is this another example of UI elements for functions not available in the App (oh no)? So what should happen if you have a .afphoto file with Live Filters in it, and you Open it in Designer and copy a Filter and apply it to a vector object? (The same setting is in V1, by the way.) (The same setting is in V1, by the way.) How do you apply a destructive filter in Designer to a vector object? As far as I know, there is no Menu / shortkey / whatever to do this in Designer. A nested live filter layer will never do any harm to a vector layer, and never rasterise it automatically. You can't apply it, you can only nest it to a parent layer. To be clear: rasterising a layer manually is not what we are talking about. NotMyFault Posted November 14, 2022 Author Posted November 14, 2022 Even if (what was not scope of my original post) you use a pasted life filter, have the "rasterise" preference active, and click "merge" in the live filter UI - Designer will not do that. nada. In my (very weak) defense, the Preference does not say Live Filter Nonetheless, if it shouldn't be there, it's not a new bug.
