Guest Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Hi, I am reading through the Quickstart guide to help me get started with Designer on the iPad (current Desktop user) and I feel references to the command controller need updating to be clearer. It introduces the command controller as having four symbols based on the Mac options Cmd, Shift, Opt and Ctrl, but doesn't tell me which symbol belongs to those names. As a Windows user I had to Google "Mac keyboard symbols" 😅. Please consider referring to the symbols with their corresponding names for users new to OS/IOS environment. (The third paragraph in the screenshot refers to the symbol by its location on the controller but not its option name.) A couple of paragraphs down in the pen tool section you then refer to holding down ALT on the command controller instead of its Mac name. Please can you update your guide to use consistent language as it gets very confusing otherwise! Thank you. p.s. I am only part way through this guide, so will update if I see anything else Quote
Dan C Posted November 21, 2022 Posted November 21, 2022 Hi @SprindigoJo, Thanks for your feedback regarding this & our apologies for the delayed response. I certainly agree that the Command Controller section could be clearer, and I can see that the Pen section uses 'Alt' and not 'Option' - therefore I have logged these issues with our team here now, to be updated. I hope this helps Quote
Mr. Sam Posted October 1, 2024 Posted October 1, 2024 Or Affinity could just include a toggle in the settings for a Windows/Mac view. This way us Windows users wouldn't have to decipher, study, and memorize the Mac functions. Hamburger > Command Controller > two toggle menu options: 1. Toggle Command Controller 2. Windows Controls Quote
