Problem with using brush

Hi there.

 

I tried to draw sth with Affinity Designer. When I choose a brush from the menu on the right, than use Brush or Pen to draw sth it does not looks like the Brush I choose.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for posting this basic question. I, too, had this same problem after I had downloaded the new brushes. The only brush strokes I could create were determined by the brush setting on the top of the window, not on the right side "Studio" view. Since I was just playing with various settings, I didn't resolve this issue.

 

Any support staff out there?

Exactly. A few days ego I have imported some new brushes sent by Affinity on newsletter.

Hi jkehoe,

 

The brushes that you are using have pressure and opacity support for tablets so if you are using a mouse you will not get the same affect as in the brush preview which is based off a pressure stroke.

I am using tablet and there is no difference when i change pressure. Line is always as width as I set before drawing.

Hi kukula,

Those brushes should be used with the Brush Tool. If they are not working correctly, check if the Controller dropdown on the context toolbar is set to Pressure or Automatic when you have the Brush Tool selected.
