Mesh warp on text in need for improvement?

It works better if you

  • group the text layer,
  • apply layer fx etc. to the text layer inside the group,
  • and add/apply live filters like perspective / mesh warp to the group.

in essence, do it stepwise and don‘t mix these functions on the same layer (without grouping).

you may need to use blend mode normal for groups instead of paththrough.

Thank you. That makes things easier. Can you please confirm the bug that the Undo (at least on Mac) via Cmd-Z doesn't work when the Layer Effects panel is open? I only get a "beep", but no undo effect.

TIA, Helmar

Undo works only for “commited” operations, which got an record in history panel. Having an adjustment UI open is a state in the middle, so i would not rate this as bug, as you might get into an undefined state (.e.g. undo removes the layer where you currently make an adjustment).

so you need to apply or cancel any started function, before you can use undo
