Josephmsc
I have been struggling from DAY 1 with Publisher version 2 to perform the simplest task of pasting added text to a simple 12 page spread. It has zero graphics, that is, text only. When I paste some text from a word document, Publisher freezes every time I add some pasted text. Rebooting doesn't help. I can't believe that Serif can't get this right. Version 2 is practically useless to me. I have had to return to Version 1, where this task is a piece of cake. MikeTO
Hi Joseph, welcome to the forum. Why did you call this a RAM issue? Does it freeze forever and you need to force quite or is it a temporary freeze? I'm working on a very long and complex document in v2 and it's working great so I wonder if there is something with your setup that could be changed to avoid this issue. I'm not saying what you're experiencing isn't a bug but perhaps there is a way to work around it. Which version of macOS are you using and what type of Mac are you using? Have you tried turning off Metal in Preferences > Performance? It's worth a try. Good luck Quote Download a free manual for Publisher 2.4 from this forum - expanded 300-page PDF My system: Affinity 2.4.2 for macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Pro)
nwhit
I’ve been doing very, very complex APub multi page docs in v2 with no issues like that. Runs quickly with little hesitation doing massive copy/pastes. Guessing it’s something unique to your computer or configuration.
