irandar
Hi folks. I had trouble stacking 200 30s startrail photos so I took two parts (earliest and latest) of 100 tiffs each. I have stacked, merged visible and edited both. Now I want to copy and paste one on top the other, so as to combine them. After pasting I can line them up by adjusting the opacity but this does not give the result I want. Seems like I need to eliminate the background sky on one. But how? Help please with this. Thanks, Irving
Staff NathanC Posted February 10, 2023 Staff Share Posted February 10, 2023 Hey @irandar, Apologies on the late reply, What issue were you running into with the original 200 image stack, was this just a case of it being too memory/hardware intensive to stack all 200 simultaneously? This isn't a workflow I'm overly familiar with however I have found the below tutorial/example workflow on stacking star trails which involves multiple stack composites. Hopefully some of the other forum users can provide some further guidance.
irandar
Hi Nathan, I was able to successfully stack all the 200 shots. So long ago I do not remember what the trouble was. Thanks and regards, Irving NathanC
