RAMWolff1356 Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Hi, I was under the impression that if I were to save a style in it's raw form, meaning that all the elements from that style were still editable and not rasterized, that I could then import that into Affinity Photo. I've tried this for both versions of Affinity and it's not working. I keep getting error messages with "Unknown property" warnings. The style, as a test, was a pretty simple style made up of the following Bevel Color Overlay Pattern Overlay Outer Glow Drop Shadow I know that Affinity offers these effects. So not sure why this simple file is returning warnings like that! Also is there a way to get Patterns files from PS over to Affinity? Or is that a "one at a time" operation as well? Thanks so much Richard Quote
Staff NathanC Posted February 10, 2023 Staff Posted February 10, 2023 Hi @RAMWolff1356, Apologies on the late reply, The apps will try to import FX/styles from PSD files where possible, however since there's no direct matchup between Photoshop and Affinity style settings, even for those that are present in both apps, so you'll sometimes encounter the 'unknown property' error on import where it hasn't been able to do this. RAMWolff1356 Posted February 10, 2023 Author Posted February 10, 2023 Thanks for the reply. Even so as mentioned above the little list of what most of my styles contain are things that can be replicated in Affinity apps so still makes no sense why the coders for Affinity can't simply create a way to match the naming conventions of Adobe to those of Affinity!
