Solved: Can’t Import From Photos

@Paul Mudditt@Lee D I seem to have stumbled upon a true fix to my 'Import from Photos' problem. After I put my small collection of pictures and videos (257) into a folder on my iCloud drive, I deleted them from my Picture Gallery on my iPad.   As I began to work on my designs again, I started adding pictures one by one back to my Gallery.  There are currrently (20) images in the Photo Gallery.  Now Designer and Designer2 will both 'Import from Photos’.  Maybe these two apps have a limit on how big of a Picture Gallery they can access. Or perhaps there is something about one or more of the images or videos that caused the apps to crash. I just don't know but, I would be interested to know what was causing these apps to crash.

Sorry for the long delay in replying to this request but the Serif team and the secondary support team of simply users like myself have been answering as many as possible as quickly as possible.

This is so weird, after you tried all the previous suggestions I guess there is a possibility that something more serious went wrong with your beta version  iPadOS installation. Now this is a bit awkward to fix, assuming you are still on beta you will be in 16.3 beta. When 16.3 is officially  released, remove the beta profile and update to 16.3 official. Then take a full backup either iCloud or on a desktop. Then do a full iPad erase and then restore from your backup. I have had to do this several times over the years since I also always use the beta versions and Apple warns you that sometimes things can go very wrong and need a restore cycle to fix.
