Pyanepsion
Hello everyone. I am drawing a world map from the client's doodle. I finished the map, but I made a mistake on two rivers. The last meanders at the end of the rivers are missing. How can I add these extra points without destroying the rest of these rivers? Thanks for your explanations (and if possible with a video).😀 Quote 6 cœurs, 12 processus - Windows 11 pro - 4K - DirectX 12 - Suite universelle Affinity (Affinity Publisher, Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo). ███ Mais je vous le demande, peut-on imaginer une police sans sérifs ? Aammppaa
Select the final node of the river, using the Node Tool. Switch to the Pen Tool, and simply extend the line! Notice how the pen tool shows a small + to indicate that it is adding to the existing line. fde101
The pen tool always extends from the end, not from the node that happens to be selected. Selecting the specific node to extend from is not required - you can just have the river object selected in whatever way and extend it by clicking with the pen tool. If you need to extend from the "wrong" end of the shape, click the Reverse Curves button on the context toolbar before trying to extend it. This is not the case. If I select the existing curve, with the Move Tool, then switch to the Pen tool, the mouse pointer clearly indicates that a new curve will be created, rather than extending the existing curve. Pyanepsion
@Aammppaa, Indeed, it's quite easy once you understand. Thank you very much, Aammppaa. Good catch - yes, you need to have a node selected from the original curve, but if you do not select one of the two ends, it will extend from the last one. You can actually select a node while using the pen tool, just by holding down command (Mac) while doing so. Aammppaa
