HerrBill Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 I downloaded Affinity Photo 2 onto my computer but I can’t locate where it’s stored? I searched in C:\Program Files\Affinity\Affinity Photo but it’s not there. Does anybody know? Quote
U.Ke. Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 yes, this an App, you will not find it the usual way, which is really awkward. Many People complained already to change the installation file to a standard exe not in this MSIX format for Apps. Please see here for creating a desktop shortcut. Please see here for how to install Affinity on a different drive. Quote
HerrBill Posted November 11, 2022 Author Posted November 11, 2022 I want to keep Affinity on the C-Drive but I need to change the location of Photo2 from its current location in Apps to The Affinity folder under programmes on the c drive. I use the FastStone image viewer for managing my files and I need to add a location for photo2 in order to edit an afphoto file in an external programme. I need to do the same with Adobe Bridge which I use to download images and to open them directly in Photo2. Windows wont let me do this. Is there no way around this? Quote
Frans Vermeulen Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 I use affinity photo in combination with dxo photolab. I need a name and location for the photo2.exe because I want to transfer a tiff file from dxo photolab tot affinity photo. Is this possible? Quote
Staff Patrick Connor Posted November 11, 2022 Staff Posted November 11, 2022 Do not move it from it's location manually. Editing permissions or moving the install will mean that your software will likely never update correctly and will be unsupported. RawTherapee works with C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\AffinityPhoto2.exe But some other DAM apps didn't accept it Quote Patrick Connor Serif Europe Ltd Latest V2 releases on each platform Help make our apps better by joining our beta program! HerrBill Posted November 11, 2022 Author Posted November 11, 2022 Thanks for the file path to Affinityphoto2. Unfortunately this file can not be accessed by the system!! Back to square one again. Does anybody know a way around this road block? Quote
