mliving
I've been using all three V2 apps on my M1 Max since yesterday and the apps had been opening almost instantly. But this evening I started Photo V1 and it started slowly. Since then Photo, Designer and Publisher V2 ALL take almost a minute to startup. This issue NEEDS to be addressed. PLEASE! Ansgar
Same here with Designer and Photo (purchased at Serif, not in the MAS).

Dampsquid
Slow startup of v2 apps only seems to be a problem if it’s v1 counterpart has been previously opened.
curlypaws
I no longer have the v1 apps installed, but find the v2 apps take a while to launch. So I don’t think prior use of a v1 app causes this. It is a real barrier to using Affinity Photo in particular as other similar programs open in a fraction of the time. Mac running OS X Ventura 13.1, hardware acceleration on (set to Metal now rather than OpenGL in Designer and Publisher but made no difference), latest Mac App Store versions of Affinity v2 apps (2.0.3). Graphics are a Radeon Pro Vega II. Edited December 20, 2022 by curlypaws Added additional version/settings info.
mliving
My bounce of death has not occurred with Affinity Apps V2 as long as I don't open V1 of the apps. The bounce usually returns only once the first time the Affinity Apps open after an OS update.
