NotMyFault Posted November 10, 2022 Share Posted November 10, 2022 The opacity slider for live filter masks and sliders is kind of useless / redundant in current implementation, and misses a great functionality: instead of lowering the overall opacity of the mask (making everything more transparent), it should increase the opacity in the affected area (mute the masking effect, not muting everything). when masks are nested (which is the dominant use case), you can reduce the opacity of the parent layer, or use a simple levels adjustment on alpha on top to reduce opacity globally. but if you want to mute the masking effect, you would need much more complex settings to achieve the result.
