Yes the system requirements have been bumped up across the board, also on the Mac side. I (grudingly) did the switch to Windows 10 at the start of this year, wasn't pretty. My condolences. By this time it's just an old insecure OS. If you are taking about Windows 7, V2 requires Windows 10, so installing shouldn't matter.
