Just installed the V2 suite. Photo 2 crashes when trying to open any files other than AFPHOTO files. JPG, PNG, or PDF. Program then needs to be "reinstalled" using the MSIX file in order to open. I can create images within the program, fonts work well, interface is blazingly fast and intuitive. But not much good if I can't use it without using Photo 1 first to convert the images to AFPHOTO or PSD. Any ideas?

I have boiled my problem down to Avast Premium Security. I have chosen Photo 2 as an allowed app but still have the program crash when I try to open any file other than afphoto extention files. Still looking for a a solution

I used AVG Free for a long long time. I finally decided to uninstall, remove it from my system. In doing so, I learned that it caused more problems than it was worth. I think the built in Windows Defender and AVG were fighting each other. Since removing AVG (which is basically Avast, and I've tried it in the past too), my system runs much smoother.
