Can I run V1 and V2 software side by side?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

If (When) I purchase the V2 software does it install over the top of my V1 Affinifty Apps?

I collaborate with a school that use Affinity V1 and I cannot see them updating the software very quickly, if at all, in the near future.

I would still need to work on V1 files in collaboration with them and would still need access to my V1 apps.

Do the V2 Apps during install delete / remove the V1 apps?

Thanks

Lee

This can be answered pretty easily (and quickly): Yes.

You can install and run V1 and V2 simultaneously without any issues.

Thanks for all the replies, I do understand that V1 and V2 are different.

A final question, can I save / export a V2 file as a V1 file that cna then be opened in V1?

I know that some items / setup / functions will not translate, but a simple Designer file with realtively basic shapes and text, would that work?

Or would exporting as an EPS file be a better option?
