Clicking and moving a warped object loses the warp effect because it does not automatically select the Warp Group

Why does clicking a warped item on the artboard not automatically select the Warp Group?

This would be particularly onerous if one had many layers and having to scroll through to find the right layer to explictly select each time.

It's more intuitive to click and drag and it should select the Warp Group by default.

With regards your text, rater than applying a second Arc Horizontal Warp to it, simply drag the unwarped text over the warped recatangle and nest it in the Warp Group above the rectangle and the text will adopt the Warp of the Rectangle...

There does appear to be a bit of a screen redraw issue going on which results in having to zoom in or out to refresh the screen...

Clicking the Text on the canvas does then select the Warp Group but with the Move Tool selected I guess to allow you to Move the Warp Group. Selecting the Warp Group in the Layers Panel automatically selects the Node Tool to allow for further editing of the Warp Group should you wish to make additional edits to the Warp.
