Welcome to the forums @Repeated :)

I really doubt MS Paint or PowerPoint have the ability of neuralink integration. So why is it important to have this in any of the Affinity Apps? Just wanted to complain before you've gave them a decent trial?

When will V3.0 be released? Really don't know, but I would suspect it will be about 8 yrs.. ;)

Affinity Photo 2.4..; Affinity Designer 2.4..; Affinity Publisher 2.4..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Version 2 was released in 2022. So I would estimate version 3 to be 2033?

A little kitten told me that Affinity V3 will sell as orange, blue and purple pills which you can swallow, and then every imaginable task will be directly available in your mind. All you'll need to do is to lie in bed and imagine!

Yes.

Two prices -- for one product or universal licence.

There will be plenty of virtual ink flowing down the screen before there will be a V3. And who knows, maybe Elon Musk will offer Serif a multi-billion dollar sum so that the Affinity Suite will also run on the infotainment screen of the Tesla Roadster V2. Exclusively, of course.

But no charge from users of the previous versions! (A campaign to boycott Serif for the 10.02 EUR is already going on).

V3 will have AI based real time feedback on how good or bad your work is, it will have a range of attitudes from encouraging and supportive to sarcastic and condescending.

You might be kidding (but I'm sure not!), but Apple is already introducing something like this…

Since the release of Version 1, Serif presented that Update (1.x to 1.x+n) is free, Upgrade (to version 2) will be paid.
Upgrade to version 3, given the completely unknown horizon of its release (several years can be assumed), is of course a question, but if the previous rules are followed, it can be expected to be paid.

Does this question refer to version 3 or version 2?
Of course, version 2 is a one-time payment - so you can use this version as long as you want (and as long as it's compatible with your PC and OS) and you don't have to pay anything for it. You even get all Updates, i.e. 2.x, for free.

This is not entirely true.

The correct answer is as long Affinity will keep the activation server online.
If they stop maintaining it alive and you have to reinstall V2, you're done.

You are assuming they won't make some other arrangement to allow activation before then.

Which, I suppose, could be true if Serif suddenly collapses and goes out of business while the rest of the world keeps running, but if they have time to plan for a transition they will probably try to do something to accomodate the users.

I was thinking the same way when i bought CS6 in 2012. It always ends the same. Bad for the user. Regardless of what they say and promise.
