Repeated
Hi devs, V2 is cool and all but when will Affinity 3.0 be out? I really need the neuralink integration for Affinity to be useful. For now I'll stick to MS Paint and PowerPoint. Iajhy, PaoloT and IPv6 1
Ron P.
Welcome to the forums @Repeated I really doubt MS Paint or PowerPoint have the ability of neuralink integration. So why is it important to have this in any of the Affinity Apps? Just wanted to complain before you've gave them a decent trial? When will V3.0 be released? Really don't know, but I would suspect it will be about 8 yrs.. And who knows, maybe Elon Musk will offer Serif a multi-billion dollar sum so that the Affinity Suite will also run on the infotainment screen of the Tesla Roadster V2. Exclusively, of course. Since the release of Version 1, Serif presented that Update (1.x to 1.x+n) is free, Upgrade (to version 2) will be paid. Upgrade to version 3, given the completely unknown horizon of its release (several years can be assumed), is of course a question, but if the previous rules are followed, it can be expected to be paid. 1 hour ago, Will91300 said: Is it still gonna be one time payment ? Does this question refer to version 3 or version 2? Of course, version 2 is a one-time payment - so you can use this version as long as you want (and as long as it's compatible with your PC and OS) and you don't have to pay anything for it. You even get all Updates, i.e. 2.x, for free. You are assuming they won't make some other arrangement to allow activation before then. Which, I suppose, could be true if Serif suddenly collapses and goes out of business while the rest of the world keeps running, but if they have time to plan for a transition they will probably try to do something to accomodate the users.
