KyleCrotts
I am unable to change the output of a RAW file in the Develop Persona. It is grayed out and nothing happens when I click on it. Am I missing something? Shouldn't this be available? File types I have tried: CR3, CR2, NEF
Staff Chris B Posted November 10, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 10, 2022 Hey KyleCrotts, The raw file you've developed should still be non-destructive if you chose Embedded or Linked. It's just that macOS is showing the dropdown greyed out because you seemingly cannot change it from whatever embedded setting you made back to Pixel Layer. I've just checked Windows and once you've chosen Embedded or Linked, this setting is then removed. I need to find out which one is correct. That is the problem, I can’t choose embedded or linked. I’m not given the option to do so in the first place. So I never chose the embedded setting. It won't let me. In this video i dragged and dropped the RAW image in and attempted to immediately change output before making any changes. But the option is not clickable and grayed out. carl123
Possibly this, but I dont have a Mac to test it on. "Only Serif Labs RAW Engine can be used for non-destructive operation. To swap to it, go to Edit>Preferences, then Assistant>Develop Assistant and select Serif Labs from the RAW Engine pop-up menu." I had it switched to Apple's RAW Engine. Thank you, appreciate the help. Chris B
Staff Chris B Posted November 11, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 11, 2022 Ah sorry! Because we have made Serif Labs default, I had assumed this is what you were using. Thanks @carl123 KyleCrotts 1 Quote How to format a bug report | Learning Resources | List of V2 FAQs | YouTube Tutorials
